One of the most exciting parts of your Design & Build journey will be choosing all of the materials and styles for your new space – from the colour of your walls to your new floor, there are thousands of choices at your disposal to make your kitchen completely unique. Choosing the finish of the walls is one of the most important aspects in your interior design journey as the walls set the scene for the rest of your interior. If you’re a little stumped for the best options out there, then we have a few that you may find yourself hankering for.

Get Decorative

Tiles are a good way to create an easy to clean but decorative surface for your kitchen wall. When adding tiles to your kitchen you don’t have to cover the whole wall, they can be used to add a bit of colour or to create a surface that can withstand the wears and tears of cooking.

Feature Your Wall Paper

A feature wall is a great way to liven up a room. When choosing the best wall for this, make sure to use an accent wall to define the living space, this can be the wall of the fire place or the one that stretches the length of the room, whatever you choose, this will add more personality. There are a wide range of luxurious wall coverings on the market now, but if you’d rather a more traditional look, painted wooden panelling can really give your room that wow-factor.

Exposed Brick

Using exposed brick can add a more rustic and warm feel to your kitchen. Our clients in N5 went for an exposed brick wall, along with a large set of bi-fold doors, two impressive skylights and a polished concrete floor. All in all, this extension radiates a contemporary charm.

Patterned Design

Creating a patterned wall in your kitchen can add a wonderful vibrancy and energy to the space. If you’re not one for clean cut lines and neutral shades then this scheme is perfect for you. Add in some further zest by including block colours on furniture or accessories whilst keeping the rest of the space quite unadorned to avoid too much of a clash.

We offer a fantastic interior design service which will take all the guesswork out of your new extension. We work closely with you to find furniture and match the colours. We then produce renders for you to see how everything will look before you commit to that exposed brick wall you’ve been dreaming of.
