Dan began his career as a marketing graduate at Sainsbury’s. He then went on to further his banking career at Barclays for a period of 10 years which culminated in his role of Corporate Director in Business Services. In 2007, Dan said goodbye to a career in banking and founded Build Team, a home extension specialist that offers a Design & Build service to homeowners across London.
Dan lives in Dulwich with his wife and two sons and enjoys cycling, tennis and skiing. He is a trustee to the Board of Groundwork London, a charity established in 1982, which aims to support local economies to promote environmental sustainability, and to provide young people with support and employment opportunities to further their careers.
Rachel graduated in Journalism from Leeds University and moved to London shortly after to work within Public Relations. After working with some of the UK’s best-loved brands including Airbus, Compare the Market, B&Q, Weetabix and Yeo Valley, Rachel joined Build Team in 2014. She ensures the smooth running of Design Team, which includes the marketing, day to day operations and design delivery. She lives in Clapham with her husband and Cocker Spaniel, Copper.
David graduated in Architecture from Kingston University in London. He oversees the Architectural Design Team and ensures the smooth running of the Design Process. He loves travelling the world to see how different cultures interpret design. His favourite city (so far) is Chandigarh in India, and he is a keen admirer of Le Corbusier, a French-Swiss Architect.
Steven grew up in Wales and moved to Scotland when he was 11. He completed his studies and obtained a MA in Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. He moved to London shortly after and joined Build Team. Steven enjoys football and rugby, and particularly enjoys cycling to client meetings and site visits.
Millie graduated in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University. With parents that were keen developers, Millie spent most of her childhood on buildings sites, which is where her love of Architecture began. She loves camping, hiking and being outdoors. She particularly loves cycling around London, you might even find her cycling to our site visits.
Stephen has always had a passion for design, with particular interest in designs that suit a specific purpose. He graduated in Architecture from Plymouth University where he discovered his interest in individualist living. He enjoys designing projects that are heavily influenced by surroundings, and enjoys using traditional features to connect the new to the old.
Marcus grew up in York, which inspired his love of Architecture. He graduated in Architecture from the University of Sheffield, taking his second year out to study at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. With his international education, Marcus is particularly interested in how other cultures solve architectural challenges. His favourite building is Meiji Shrine in Tokyo.
Nial graduated in Architecture from Newcastle University. After gaining some valuable experience in a small architectural practice in semi-rural Hertfordshire, he moved to London and joined Build Team as an Architectural Designer. In his spare time Nial enjoys playing Rugby and Tennis and exploring his new environment.
Leena graduated in Architecture from Nottingham Trent University. She strongly believes that form follows function, and can be used to our advantage to create beautiful spaces. She is particularly passionate about painting in her spare time and uses a range of mediums to do so.
Emily graduated in Architecture from Lincoln University. Having always had a strong passion for design, Emily moved back to London after her studies, as she particularly loves the diversity that it brings to architecture. In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis and going to the theatre.
Liam studied at Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University. In 2016 he went on to study at Stuttgart University in Germany. Liam has always had a strong passion for the environmental side of architecture as well as its relationship with nature; such as the ways in which we can embrace more wild nature in urban spaces. In his spare time he enjoy's designing interiors and bespoke furniture.
Kyriakos is a qualified (chartered) engineer, with a Master in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the IET and the Faculty of PWS, and CITB SMSTS qualified regarding health and safety. He has 20 years of experience within project and site management. Kyrs is our SHE/CDM Advisor and PW Expert ensuring compliance with the current legislation for both areas. He enjoys reading, music, theatre, psychology and poetry writing.
As one of the two founders of Build Team, Mark oversees the Project Management Team and ensures the smooth running of the business. Mark completed his academic studies in 2002 and qualified as a PRINCE2 practitioner. With experience in both residential and commercial project management, he ensures our builds are quality focused and completed on time.
Clara graduated in Building Engineering from EUPLA University, in Spain. With over 10 years of experience within project management, Clara sits within our Project Management Team. She manages projects from start to finish, and ensures our clients are kept updated throughout the process. She likes swimming, dancing flamenco and is currently learning to play the guitar.
Marta graduated in Architecture in 2008. After graduating she gained experience within architecture with a one year internship in a city council and through freelance work. Marta sits within our Project Management Team, and ensures the smooth running of our Build projects. She loves live music, and has a particular passion for concerts and festivals.
Kyrs is our SHE/CDM Advisor and PW Expert ensuring compliance with the current legislation for both areas. Kyrs sits within our contract/project management team, ensuring successful delivery of our construction schemes. He enjoys reading, music, theatre, psychology and poetry writing.
Aistė moved to London in 2017 after studying psychology at Vilnius University in Lithuania. Aistė will offer administrative support to the Project Management Team by assisting with skip licences, material orders and much more. She enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes for pies and cakes. As well as this, Aistė loves fashion and sometimes she even creates clothing designs herself.
