How it Works

Design Process

Pre-Design

MEASURED SURVEY
Our surveyor will visit your home to take the necessary measurements and site photographs.

PREPARE EXISTING DRAWINGS
Using the survey data, we’ll prepare existing drawings in CAD which are required in order to start the design process.

Design Development

DEVELOP & FINALISE DESIGNS
We will assign a designer to your project to work with you to develop the exterior envelope and internal layout of your new space based on your design brief.

PLANNING SUBMISSION
We’ll submit your application and liaise with the local planning authority – sit back and let us take the wheel!

STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS
Once your plans are approved, we can commission an engineer to produce technical calculations.

Meet Our Team

David Abimbola

Architect & Head of Design

David joined Build Team in 2016 and leads Design Team. He is a qualified Architect and oversees the team and ensures clients receive a high quality design service and that planning outcomes are successful.

Steven Davidson

Architect

Steven joined Build Team in 2015 and is a qualified Architect, he is our technical lead for design and planning matters. Steven enjoys football and rugby, and particularly enjoys cycling to client meetings and site visits.

Santa Datta

Architectural Designer

Santa joined the build team in June 2021. With a background in architecture from India, she earned her master’s degree in urban design from the University of Westminster. Having previously lived and worked in vibrant cities such as Dubai and Los Angeles, Santa now calls London home.
